What a cool summer this was, no complaints here. One was
hard pressed to see 90 degrees even in Kalispell and here in
late August we're seeing daily highs in the sixties and
seventies.
Hopefully it holds and we'll have a wet, colder Fall and
some help with hunting from Mother Nature.
Frosty June (6/20/08 12:00
p.m.)
Frost. Every morning on the windshield and lawn at my place. June 20th and still freezing. Tough to plant the spring flowers and garden when the white stuff coats all!
I love it. Compared to the heat and firestorms we had in our Marion area last summer, I will gladly take it.
Update: still frosting at 6/24/08. Garden? What garden?
We certainly had above average snowfall here in the Marion area last winter and I believe it was directly related to El Nino/La Nina weather phenomena that occur in the Pacific Ocean. Read here about the NOAA's prediction for a continued La Nina event through July 2008.
Woke up this morning to strong winds and heavy wet snowfall. I've never seen as cool of a spring as this one in my 38 years in Montana. Update: It's still snowing at 8 PM.
