Marion History / Kila Indian Pictographs
Pictures of Artwork
Directions
These cliff paintings are at mile marker 108 on highway 2, a
mile or two west of Kila Montana.
There are two sites about 1/4 mile apart. Neither site is
signed; watched for two small turnouts with small parking areas.
Preservation
Luckily the highway department recognized the value of these
sites and erected some protective chain link fencing to
protect them. The eastern-most site is more exposed to sun,
weather, and the elements and is not as well preserved as
the western-most site.
